Arts and Crafts Day

Arts and Crafts Day was conducted in Corporation HSS Selvapuram on October 9th.  It was a great stage for students to show case their inner talent. The program was a very successful endeavour due to the participation of students.

First day of Teaching Training

We started our teaching training practice on September 8, 2023. The school assigned to me was Corporation HSS Selvapuram. It felt like a start of a whole new array of experiences. 

Onam Celebration

We celebrated Onam celebration on 24/08/2023 in our college.Onam is an annual Indian harvest and cultural festival related to Hinduism celebrated mostly by the people of Kerala. A major annual event for Keralites, it is the official festival of the state and includes a spectrum of cultural events. Onam. Flower Rangoli (pookalam) is an Onam tradition.We enjoyed a lot it was memorable day.

Independence Day

Today we Celebrated 77th Independence Day in our college. All our college management people came and hoisted the flag. My friends performed dance and Speech also.We enjoyed the day

FINANCIAL LITERACY

A financial literacy program was conducted at my college with the aim of equipping students with essential financial knowledge and skills. The program included workshops, interactive sessions, and practical exercises on various topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, and managing debt. Students were provided with resources and tools to enhance their understanding of personal finance and develop effective money management habits. The program also invited financial experts and professionals to share insights and provide guidance. Through this initiative, the college aimed to empower students with the necessary financial literacy to make informed decisions and build a strong foundation for their future financial well-being.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Indian Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January every year with immense pride and enthusiasm throughout the country. It marks the day when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950, proclaiming India as a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic. The celebrations at college started at 8.00 AM. It included flag hoisting sweet distribution and some cultural activities.

PONGAL CELEBRATION

Pongal is a popular harvest festival celebrated in the southern state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is usually held in the month of January and marks the beginning of the Tamil month of Thai. The word "Pongal" in Tamil means "overflowing," signifying abundance and prosperity. The festival is named after the dish called "Pongal," a sweet rice and lentil dish cooked in a new clay pot as an offering to the Sun God. The dish is made using freshly harvested rice, jaggery (unrefined sugar), and milk. The program was conducted on 12th January 2022. That was a memorable day.

SMART MEMORY WORKSHOP

A Smart memory architecture workshop was conducted at our college on 10th January 2023. It was conducted by Mr. Mahadevan a trainer and resource person who had experience conducting such workshops even at international level. We were amused by the memory power of the resource person as he demonstrated his skills. It was a wonderful experience.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

On 22nd December 2022, CMS College of Education celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and joy. The campus was adorned with beautiful decorations, including Christmas trees, lights, and wreaths. Students and faculty members came together to participate in various activities such as carol singing and other cultural performances that showcased the spirit of Christmas. The event also featured a special prayer service and a message emphasizing the significance of love, joy, and giving during the festive season. The celebration at CMS College of Education created a warm and festive atmosphere, spreading cheer and fostering a sense of togetherness among the entire college community.

BOOK RELEASING CEREMONY

On 9th December 2022, a book releasing ceremony was conducted at CMS College of Education. It was the occasion of the publication of books written by the teachers of the college. It showed the commitment the teachers had to their profession and to their students.

TEACHERS ROLE IN TODAY'S SOCIETY

Teachers play a vital role in society by shaping the minds and futures of the next generation. They impart knowledge and skills, fostering intellectual and personal growth in their students. Teachers serve as mentors, guiding and inspiring their students to reach their full potential. They contribute to the overall development of society by instilling values, promoting critical thinking, and preparing students to become responsible and productive citizens. The program helped us to understand and appreciate the values of teachers.

LUNG CARE AWARENESS PROGRAM

A lung care awareness program was conducted at our college by Dr. Jayamohan Unnithan, a pulmonologist at Hindustan hospital. We were made aware the importance of lung care especially in a post-covid world. It maybe the new normal.

DIWALI CELEBRATION

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a vibrant and joyous festival celebrated by Hindus worldwide. It signifies the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Diwali typically falls between October and November, and the exact date varies each year based on the Hindu lunar calendar. During Diwali, people illuminate their homes with colorful lights and diyas (oil lamps), decorate with rangoli (artwork made with colored powders), exchange gifts, and enjoy feasts with family and friends. Fireworks are also a significant part of the celebrations. Diwali is a time for prayer, reflection, and the worship of deities such as Lord Rama and Goddess Lakshmi. It is a time of renewal, hope, and togetherness, promoting unity and spreading happiness throughout communities. At our college we celebrated Diwali with all it's glory

WORLD STUDENTS DAY CELEBRATION

Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam's birthday is celebrated as World Student's day. As one of the most prominent teacher of our country and a role model for many aspiring teachers, Abdul Kalam's birthday was celebrated at CMS College grandly. A detailed look into his life inspired us a lot. 

INAUGURATION CEREMONY

My B. Ed course started on 14th September. It was also the inauguration of the new building for CMS College of Education. It was a wonderful and memorable occasion.

Lung Care Awareness Program

Dr.Jaymohan Unnithan, pulmonologist ofHindustan hospital came to our college as cheif guest for lung awareness program. He spoke about lungs function and asthma and wheezing asthma difference. I learned lot about lungs🫁. It was useful program.

One day National Conference

  On 1st February in our CMS college of education. Our seniors gave us fresher's day celebration with dances and provide snacks to us. It was a new experience for me and a unforgettable day with my friends.
